Moving to Henry's Lake State Park, ID

We left our noisy KOA behind for solitude at Henry's Lake State Park. We traveled in the path's of Lewis and Clark, on the Bozeman Trail and in the steps of countless prospectors, farmers, ranchers, and pioneers as they crossed this great land.

The Yellowstone River

We drove along this river for awhile. Mind you it is barely 70 degrees and there are yehoos everywhere riding tubes and rafts down the river. Where's my wetsuit? I'm going it too!

Views of Henry's Lake as we approached.

Patrick spent the day crocheting wings for his My Little Pony stuffed doll.

I looked and felt like this pic, had the Dunkirk look going. A long day in the saddle. A three and a half hour drive takes like six with stops for fuel, groceries and nature calls.
Henry's Lake State Park was pretty nice. They have two paved handicap spots right beside a big new bathhouse. Unfortunately we ended up in the old part of the park and got a site with a hill and push button showers (read cold). That's alright for not making reservations until two days in advance.
