Moving on

Friday July 23 We loaded up all our junk and headed west again for Craters of the Moon National Park. The first stop was Mesa Falls State Park. I read the pamphlet from the state of Idaho that said that the view of the Upper falls was handicap accessible and I was looking forward to seeing the falls. We stopped and got out to walk the trails and see the rushing water.

Our view of the day as we hooked up. It cleared up and was a beautiful day.

My view of the falls. The nice handicap trail lead to an overlook but a wheelchair user couldn't actually see the falls.

So much farming is made possible by irrigation and as we were to discover the aquifer under this area is one of the largest in the world and has plenty of water to keep up with the demand for crops. We saw hay, wheat, sugar beets, onions, corn, and potatoes being grown in this region.
We stopped for the night in Arco, ID the first town to be lit using atomic power.
