Munising to Travese City

August 22
I think we were all ready to have a few days off from the road but we were determined to get home by Saturday for a family event before we packed for Florida again. I also wanted to hit these last few places so we wouldn't have to come back to that state up north. For those of you who aren't football fans, that's what we Ohio State fans call Michigan.
Long straight roads through swampy lands

We ran up to Sault St Marie to the end of I-75. Now we have been to the north and south terminus of I-75 and traveled over every mile of the freeway.
We stopped to jiggle the trailer wires because the brakes were off again. It just happened to be at this little tourist trap in St. Ignace, MI overlooking Lake Huron.

I got a shot of Becky and Patrick standing at the top.

Next stop, Bridge View Park on the north end of the Mackinaw Bridge. The lady at the toll booth said the winds were under twenty miles per hour today and we had no problems crossing other than the slow construction traffic.

It was a long day on the road and we settled at the Walmart in Traverse City. Traverse is a neat little town on the shores of Lake Michigan and had a cool lake front area.
