Travel Day in the Yuppers

August 20
We needed to get to Munising, MI to take a tour of Pictured Rocks.
First stop was here on the way back to Houghton. The underground mine tour lasts two hours and the lady assured me that it was handicap accessible. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to do the tour.

These cars went down into the mine. The one on the right is a people carrier. Guys just sat on the small boxes, two man to a box. The one on the left is a water tight box used to haul water out of the mine, it held 1300 gallons. w

A giant piece of float copper in the shape of a fish. At least I think it looks like a fish.
 Old trains and cars.
Alice lives near Houghton during the summer and in the winter stays in Kenton, Ohio. I met her at therapy and Becky knew her from the knitting group at B's mom's coffee shop.
We had lunch with her. B made this sign to let her mother know that she is fine. Mom is having a hard time letting her go to travel and live in Florida. Our brakes kept going out on the trailer and the truck would ding and let us know we had lost them. When we came out of the restaurant, we looked at the trailer and Becky got down and patched some bare wires and zip tied them out of the way to help prevent the bare wires from touching the frame. It helped but still flashed off and on.
Route 41 swung around L'Anse Bay before turning south.

At the junction of Route 94 and 28 outside Munising is this little gem of a waterfall. There are seventeen waterfalls in the Munising area.

We ended up at Wandering Wheels Campground.
