Bloomington to St. Louis

June 25 We wanted to mark a few places off in our national park book, so the next stop was Lincoln Boyhood National Monument. On the way down through Hoosier Nat. Forest we stopped at a place for lunch that had a school lunch style serving system. We had fried chicken and the fixings.

As you walk up to the main entrance to the building between the two wings, you see these murals carved into the walls.

From the Nat. Mon. we went east to Santa Claus, IN home of Holiday World, the nations oldest amusement park.
They have the oldest Santa Claus statue in the country. Thanks RoadtripAmerica.com

We stopped for some candy at Santa Claus Castle. She got me some chocolate covered Oreos.

Then it was on to St. Louis and the St. Louis RV Park. The park is very close to downtown and is completely paved. The showers are not handicap accessible, meaning the w/c wont fit into the door.
I walked the dog around the block and then over to the gas station across the street for a can of beer and Becky got some kind of alcohol in a can. People fawned over the dog. She loved it. It seemed like we always had a view of the arch fro where we were at.
