Gumbo Limbo and more beach

Garrett wanted to see sharks and apart from the shark on the pier we hadn't seen any. Thankfully non at the beach. So we went over to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. There were no sharks there today but we saw plenty of wildlife and the boys were not disappointed. The place was accessible with ramps all over. The butterfly walk was a stone path so no go down there.

 They had two large aquarium tanks full of fish. Most impressive was the big tarpon.

 This cobia traveled relentlessly through the tank trailed by a remora.

 A moray eel peeks out of his hole.

 After the nature center, we ate a picnic lunch and went back up A1A to Dania Beach. The surf was really rolling in this time at high tide. The boys wore themselves out boogie boarding. After some sun I went down to the Dania Beach Grill and had a few Coronas. A good beach day!
